  • Samsung Apps Launches 'Most Downloads' Global Apps Contest

    Samsung Wave and Galaxy Smartphone users can win prizes including Samsung Notebook Series 9 and Galaxy Tab 10.1

    SEOUL, Korea – 30 August, 2011 – Starting from 25th of August, Samsung Apps is to run a global competition to reward people who download the most mobile apps during the month of August and September.

    Samsung Apps customers downloading the most apps during that time will receive a chance to win exciting prizes including the Samsung Notebook Series 9, Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi, and Samsung Apps vouchers.

    The competition is open to customers with Samsung Wave and Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

    The most downloaded promotion will take place in 95 countries around the world including the UK, France, Netherlands, Australia, and China. The contest will run from 25th August to 30th September, with the winners to be announced on 10th October.

    How customers can enter:
    • For Wave device users: Sign in to Samsung Apps as normal and then download apps as normal
    • For Galaxy device users: Visit the event page in Samsung Apps website and click the 'Apply' button to join the contest, then start downloading apps from Samsung Apps on the device

    Samsung Apps customers can also find out more information about the promotion by visiting the Samsung Apps store on www.samsungapps.com, or accessing the Samsung Apps on their smartphone or via Kies (PC software).

    Samsung Apps has continuously expanded its reach since launch and is currently available in 121 countries. New features and an improved user interface will be offered in line with the new version of its bada operating system - bada 2.0 - launching in 2011.
